Continuing Care Retirement Communities
Continuing care retirement communities provide flexible accommodation that are designed to meet the seniors’ needs as their requirements change over time. This allows the senior to live indefinitely in one location without the worry of having to relocate if his or her health condition changes. A continuing care environment will typically offer various housing and service packages which include a mix of independent and assisting living services (such as personal care, meals, and housekeeping) as well as nursing care. The major advantage of a continuing care retirement community is the ability to move between the various housing environments as one’s needs change, without having to relocate out of the community.
